Our mission
The Harari Community Development Center (HCDC), known as the “Community Center,” was established in 2001 to advance the welfare and strength of the Harari people in the greater Dallas metroplex. We have and will continue to achieve this objective through early childhood education, cultural programming, and need-based financial and social assistance.
Though our priority is our members, we recognize that we exist as a part of a greater community. We seek to benefit local communities and to also collaborate with like-minded organizations both in the United States and across the globe.
Our origins
The Harari people originate in eastern Ethiopia but now can be found around the world, with significant populations in North America, Australia, and Europe.
